8-HOUR Dedicated Military and Veterans-Concealed Carry License Classes

8-hour Illinois Concealed Carry Class for United States Armed Forces Members Active, Retired, or Honorably Discharged. A Copy of your DD214 is required, or your Active Armed Forces ID Card.

Who can receive credit for up to eight hours of prior training (from either previous courses or experience)?

The statute provides that active, retired, and honorably discharged members of the United States Armed Forces shall be considered to have completed 8 hours of the 16-hour training requirement. Those applying for a CCL who have completed a training course that is approved by the ISP and recognized under the laws of another state may receive up to 8 hours of training toward the 16-hour training requirement.

Veteran Concealed Carry Classes

Our concealed carry classes are designed to provide you with the best skills and tactics to handle your firearm. Led by dedicated instructors who are approved and experienced, our courses consist of 16 hours of training. Veterans and active military personnel are eligible for 8 hours of training, while renewal classes require 3 hours. Upon successful completion of these classes, you will be able to confidently obtain your permit. Our classes not only equip you with the necessary knowledge, but also instill in you the right attitude, confidence, and skills to effectively handle your concealed firearm. By acquiring these skills, you gain better control over your safety, ensuring peace of mind.

CNC Academy offers the best training for experienced or beginner gun owners. All our classes are conducted by a certified instructors approved by the Illinois State Police Department. Classes are scheduled weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to suit your timelines better. You can learn all the fundamentals of safe shooting in a secure environment. After 16 hours of intensive training, you can safely use the firearm to protect yourself and your family.
