WHAT IS THE INVESTMENT TO OBTAIN AN ILLINOIS CONCEALED CARRY LICENSE

THERE ARE SEVERAL FEES TO OBTAINING THE LICENSE

  1. Classroom Fee $150, C-N-C Academy, Illinois Concealed Carry Class

  2. * The live-fire range qualification is done offsite at GAT GUNS, and a $25 range fee will be paid on day 1 of class. This is not included in the class fee.

  3. The State of Illinois Concealed Carry License application fee is $150. It is not included in the class fee.

    The first three are mandatory fees. the next three are optional.

  4. Optional: Equipment Rental (Includes gun, ammo, eye, and ear protection) $30

  5. Optional: Concealed Carry and Home Defense Textbook, $30

  6. Optional: Fingerprints are done by (Premier-Livescan, LLC.) ($70 cash), $75 if paid with Zelle, Venmo, Debit, or credit card.

The applicant must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age,

  • Have a currently valid FOID card (if an Illinois resident),

  • Not be prohibited under federal law from possessing or receiving a firearm,

  • Not have been convicted or found guilty in Illinois or any other state ofYou (a) a misdemeanor involving the use or threat of physical force or violence to any person within the last 5 years, (b) two or more violations related to driving while under the influence of alcohol, other drug or drugs, intoxicating compound or compounds, or any combination thereof, within the last five years,

  • Not be the subject of a pending arrest warrant, prosecution, or proceeding for an offense or action that could lead to disqualification,

  • Not have been in residential or court-ordered treatment for alcoholism, alcohol detoxification, or drug treatment within the last five years,

  • You have submitted a completed Concealed Carry License application and successfully completed 16 hours of firearms training, including classroom and range instruction.
